It has been a while. Close to 2 months since I posted anything.
I have a reason.
In early October I accepted a job, and started in early November. Until then I’d been self employed for 11 years, so that business had to be shut down in just 4 weeks. Well that’s not possible, so for the last 5 weeks I’ve been tying up the loose ends of the business in my spare time (which isn’t so “spare” any more).
All that’s on top of other stuff, like a Gaelic language course I started in September.

Saor Alba!
Anyway the new job – working for the Scottish Parliament – is looking like the kind of new challenge I was needing. In the meantime, I don’t have much time for travel or writing about it!

Scottish Parliament
Having said that, I’m off to Morocco for the last 10 days of December. Most of my time will be in Ouarzazate and Zagora – the Sahara. It has been on my wish list for a while.

Homework
The other thing I usually do this time of year is annual awards – the best hotel, restaurant, airline and so on. 2017 has been a good year for variety (so far – Morocco still to come). It should be interesting.
