Well, I enjoyed five nights and four full days in Chişinău.
And I mean “enjoyed”. My hotel was excellent. All the food I ate was delicious. The people I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The weather was ideal. The city was interesting even if not all of it is beautiful – but many parts are.
Finding the good food was easy, ranging from a basic cafeteria (Bistro Galbanus) past local fast food chains (Andy’s, Star Kebab and Bro) to street food (La Mamuca). Good coffee was on offer at almost every turn (Feeling and Bonjour were my favourites).
I visited three city centre parks – Parcul Valea Morilor, Valea Trandafirilor and Ştefan cel Mare. They are all lovely, especially so in the October sunshine.
My hotel – TA Collection – was clean, comfortable, quiet and ideally located.
If I felt like finding some negatives, I certainly could. But the choice would be small, so why bother?
